The benchmark Hang Seng Index recorded 23,472 points, 5 points lower at the opening, while the Tech Index opened 5 points higher.

Alibaba (9988) once tipped HK$140.90 before dropping to HK$138.

Xiaomi (0810) once hit HK$52.35, a record high, and declined to as low as HK$51.50.
