Trip.com (9961) recorded an over 72 percent rise in its net profit to 17.07 billion yuan (HK$18.31 billion) last year, thanks to growing cross-boundary trips.
Total revenue amounted to 53.38 billion, a 19.78 percent growth year-on-year.
The company recorded a net profit of 2.16 billion yuan and 12.77 billion yuan worth of revenue in the fourth quarter, rising 66.31 and 23.51 percent, respectively.
According to Trip.com, its inbound tour bookings grew by more than 100 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter and for the entire year, with annual bookings from visa-free countries growing by more than 150 percent.
